At Macondo Colombian Coffee, we are passionate about coffee and everything it represents: tradition, quality, and connection. We are a company committed to bringing the best of Colombian coffee to your cup, grown on privileged lands and carefully cultivated by generations of coffee farmers.
Our coffee is born at Finca El Madroño located in the heart of the department of Caldas, a region renowned for its coffee tradition and the exceptional quality of its crops.
On this farm, situated at 1,610 meters above sea level, Castillo and Caturra coffee varieties are carefully cultivated. Thanks to this altitude, the beans ripen slowly, allowing for the development of bright acidity and a complex flavor characteristic of our mountain coffee.
The production process is artisanal and meticulous. After harvesting, the beans undergo a 72-hour fermentation process, then are carefully washed and dried for a specific time. Afterward, they are hulled, selected, and roasted, ensuring that only the best beans reach your cup.
Finca El Madroño is a family legacy passed down from generation to generation for more than 20 continuous years to cultivating and perfecting this coffee, keeping alive the tradition and love for good Colombian coffee.
The name of our Café comes from the writer Gabriel García Márquez, Nobel Prize winner in literature with the novel 100 Years of Solitude and the magical town with its yellow butterflies where the work was recreated was called Macondo.
Every sip of Macondo Colombian Coffee is a reflection of this history, the efforts of its producers, and the richness of the Caldas soil.
